Atal Incubation Centre – Sri Krishnadevaraya University (AIC-SKU), Anantapur, (Best Rural Incubator Awarded - 2024)supported by the Atal Innovation Mission under NITI Aayog, Government of India, is a leading rural-focused incubation centre driving innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup development across pan India.
AIC-SKU has built a strong and scalable innovation ecosystem with:
The centre has conducted 400+ programs, reaching over 1,15,000+ innovators, students, farmers, and entrepreneurs, with 2,500+ individuals trained and 1,200+ students directly benefitted, establishing AIC-SKU as a key driver of grassroots innovation in rural India.
AIC-SKU startups span critical sectors including agritech, clean energy, water, AI, manufacturing, circular economy, and rural livelihoods, contributing directly to regional economic development.
At the Bharat Global Mobility Expo 2025 (New Delhi), where 2000+ startups and companies participated, only 8 startups were selected to present before Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
One of these prestigious selections was Helen Bikes Pvt Ltd, an AIC-SKU incubated startup, which showcased a fully futuristic e-bicycle that was completely designed and developed within AIC-SKU. The innovation was personally appreciated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, bringing national visibility to SKU’s innovation ecosystem.

Academic Collaboration & Student Innovation Outcomes
AIC-SKU has actively partnered with SKU College of Engineering & Technology and demonstrated significant progress in nurturing student innovation and entrepreneurship. The centre has trained multiple student teams for national-level competitions including ideathons and hackathons. Out of 10 trained teams, one team secured 1st Prize at Hideathon, Hyderabad, competing against 600+ teams across India, and won a cash prize of ₹35,000. This team subsequently incorporated their startup as Amruthadhara Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd., and successfully secured a project worth ₹17 Lakhs, while continuing to win multiple first prizes in subsequent competitions.
In another notable achievement, a team comprising Safan, Pallavi, and others secured 1st Prize at the prestigious AP Amaravati Quantum Valley Hackathon 2025, competing among 1500+ applications nationwide, and received a ₹50,000 award from the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The team has continued its success trajectory by participating in multiple competitions and securing additional first prizes, with a total cumulative cash award of ₹80,000.
Now, AIC-SKU has incubated 5+ startups from SKU.
These outcomes highlight AIC-SKU’s strong capability in converting student ideas into high-impact ventures and nationally recognized innovations.
