Vice Chancellor's Message

Dear Colleagues, Students, Alumni, and Stakeholders,

It is with profound pride and a renewed sense of purpose that I address you as we embark on a transformative journey for Sri Krishnadevaraya University. Our university has a distinguished history of aspirations, objectives, strategic priorities, and service. Yet, in a world defined by rapid change and global interconnectedness, we need to redefine our identity and reimagine our goals in order to be future-ready.

“VidyayaAmruthamasnuthe,” the motto of our university, affirms that education is the pathway to liberation and enlightenment. This timeless philosophy is in tune with Mahatma Gandhi's idea of education: “An education which does not teach us to discriminate between good and bad, to assimilate the one and eschew the other, is a misnomer.” Dr. B.R. Ambedkar envisioned education, with great foresight and egalitarian outlook, as both the birthright of every human being and a powerfulinstrument to root out inequality and injustice. Swami Vivekananda saw education as the “manifestation of the perfection already in man,” as an agent that awakens the innate potential of every learner. Together, these perspectives illuminate the profound truth that education is not merely the transmission of knowledge, but aims at the transformation of man, society, and the nation.

Through an unwavering commitment to equity, access, relevance, quality and excellence and to ethical leadership and transparent governance, Sri Krishnadevaraya Universityought to further enrich its vibrant and progressive institutional culture by a renewed focus on enhancing our teaching-learning ecosystem by pursuing advanced pedagogy and seamlessly integrating skill development, entrepreneurship, and employability into our systems and in tune with the National Education Policy 2020, the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, and the State's vision of SwarnaAndhra-2047 and its mission of“Rebuild, Renew, Rise (RRR)” . By empowering our students, may we act as catalysts for societal transformation!

We shall continue to focus on the most relevant and impactful research in various disciplines with the twin objectives of making a significant contribution to the areas relevant to national priorities, and disseminating our research output globally in order to enhance the visibility of the university in institutional rankings. Let us remain steadfast in our determination to fortify our collaboration with the industry and foster a culture of social responsibility, and promote community engagement initiatives to facilitate transformational change in rural development.

The students remain a vital link through which our collective aspirations take shape. Our shared responsibility is to nurture their intellect, character, and creativity so that they emerge outcome‑oriented and are prepared to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving world. In this pursuit of growth and excellence, our non‑teaching staff, through their dedication and support form the strong foundation on which institutional excellence is built.

Through the active participation of our affiliated colleges in the pursuit of quality and excellence, in meeting our academic growth targets, and in catalysing sustainable and inclusive development particularly in rural communities, let us hope to derive the most beneficial result for bringing about transformative change.

Rejuvenating our image through team work is a collective endeavour, one that calls for unity and shared resolve. Let us rise together to build a brighter, more impactful future worthy of the country’s great legacy and aspirations of the people and the State.
