Year of Establishment & Brief History of the Department
The Department of Commerce was started in 1969 as a part of the then Sri Venkateswara University Postgraduate centre, Anantapur with one Reader and one Lecturer. The Department has grown along with time both qualitatively and quantitatively. Now strength of the faculty is nine.

Consumer Protection, Education and Research: The Department has started a Consumer Protection council and Consumer Research Council. Eversince its inception the council has solved more than 500 cases.The Department is also actively engaged in Consumer Research.
