Dr. K. HUSSAIN REDDY obtained his M. Sc., Degree from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. He has started his research as CSIR – JRF/SRF. He has obtained his M. Phil., and Ph. D., degrees in Chemistry from S.K. University Anantapuramu in 1982 and 1984 respectively. Dr. Reddy’s fields of teaching and research interests include Bioinorganic and Supramolecular Chemistry, Bio-coordination chemistry, Spectroscopy, Inorganic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Chemistry of Polymeric Materials. He has 31 years of post-graduate teaching experience. Twenty seven students got Ph. D degree under his supervision. He has also guided eight M. Phil., students. Dr. Reddy published 152 research papers and two review articles in internationally reputed research journals. He has presented a paper in international symposium on Macrocyclic Chemistry held at Turtle Bay, Hawaii, USA in the year 1988. He has delivered Lectures in National and International seminars. He has also presented about 100 papers in National Seminars/Symposia/Conferences. He has organized eight National Seminars in SK University. He has completed five major research projects sponsored by DST, CSIR and UGC, New Delhi. He has completed One-time grant scheme awarded by UGC, New Delhi. He did his post-doctoral research in the University of California, San Deigo, USA during 1989-90 under study abroad fellowship sponsored by HRD-Government of India. He has authored a book entitled “Bio inorganic Chemistry” (2003) published by New Age international (Pvt. Ltd.) New Delhi. He is life member in several academic and research organizations such as Indian Science Congress Association, Indian Chemical Society, Calcutta, Indian Council of Chemists, Agra and National Magnetic Resonance Society, Bangalore. He is Best teacher awarded of Government of Andhra Pradesh for the year 2007. He worked as Head of the Department of Chemistry, Chairman Boards of Studies and Coordinator of UGC- SAP program in the Department of Chemistry. At present he is working as Professor of Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry. He is also discharging his duties as Professor In- charge of SKU College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. S. K.
